  5. Keep the jar in a cool and dry place for 2 weeks. Shake well several times a day.
  6. After 14 days, squeeze well and strain the liquid through a plastic strain. For better results put a gauze over it. Squeeze well so the whole juice comes out.
  7. Use the rest of the dry mixture when cooking.

Your master tonic is ready for use. You do not need to keep the tonic in your fridge. It will last for long.

According to Morten Scheibye-Knudsen, one of the researchers, “it [CS] eats into the resources and causes the cell to age very quickly. We therefore hope that a diet with a high content of coconut oil or similar fats will have a beneficial effect, because the brain cells are given extra fuel and thus the strength to repair the damage.”

Coconut oil, as well as palm kernel oil, contain medium-chain fatty acids (MCTs), which have been shown previously to be a wonderful source of energy. They also increase metabolism, aid the liver in dumping fat cells, keep you feeling satiated and support the cardiovascular and immune systems – among many other benefits. The study’s leader, Vilhelm Bohr, states, “the study is good news for children with Cockayne syndrome, because we do not currently have an effective treatment. Our study suggests that a high-fat diet can postpone aging processes. A diet high in fat also seems to postpone the aging of the brain. The findings therefore potentially imply that patients with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease in the long term may benefit from the new knowledge.”

Grandpa Cures His Cancer with Cannabis Oil

He received a liver transplant when he was diagnosed in 2009, but the disease returned in 2012, attacking the new organ he had undergone surgery to receive. Mike Cutler says that the cancerous cells in his liver started to disappear once he began taking a home-brew of cannabis oil. In his research, he found a YouTube video that described the use of cannabis oil as a solution.

Cutler was in excruciating pain, and after taking cannabis oil for just three days, the pain went away completely.

In May of this year, the grandfather of nine went to get a biopsy at the Royal Free Hospital in London to make sure that his cancer was once again in remission. Doctors confirmed that all the cancerous cells that had been invading his liver were completely gone!

A spokeswoman for the Royal Free Hospital confirmed that Cutler did not receive any other cancer treatment aside form his transplant in 2009.

“. . .finding out I could die was terrible. All I had in those dark days was my laptop, and that’s when I began searching for something else that could help me – I couldn’t accept I was going to die.”

He hoped for a treatment but wasn’t convinced when he started out. He was already surprised when his pain dissipated after three days, but when he found out he was totally treated from his liver cancer he said he, “was just completely shocked.”

Since his cancer went into remission, he maintains his own preventative regimen and grows his own cannabis plants.

He also spoke recently about the use of cannabis as a medicine together with Professor David Nutt and MP Caroline Lucas in Brighton, England, and he campaigns for laws to be passed so that more people have access to this wondrous plant.

It is long overdue for scientists and legislators to realize the full healing powers of cannabis as a medical drug. Dr Kat Arney, Cancer Research UK’s science communications manager, said:

“This could potentially lead to more effective treatments for cancer in the future,  but there’s still no good data from clinical trials to show that cannabis or cannabinoids can safely and effectively treat cancer in patients at the moment.”

Green tea compound again validated in the fight against cancer development

In matters of health and disease prevention, few things strike as much fear for many people as a diagnosis of cancer. This is especially true in the case of pancreatic cancer, a particularly aggressive form of the disease that has a survival rate of less than 5 percent after five years from diagnosis. Extensive research studies over the past 10 to 20 years have clearly shown that many forms of cancer can be prevented by following a natural food diet that eliminates deadly hydrogenated and trans fats and virtually all sources of sugar and refined carbohydrates as well. EGCG from green tea disrupts pancreatic cancer cell metabolism to halt disease progression

This research is among the first to explain how natural compounds interact with cancerous cells to help prevent or even reverse tumor progression. The study author, Dr. Wai-Nang Lee and his team were able to demonstrate how EGCG, the bioactive component found in green tea, is able to alter the metabolism of pancreatic cancer cells by suppressing the expression of lactate dehydrogenase A or LDHA, a critical enzyme in cancer metabolism.

Researchers explain that metabolism in cancer cells determine how the cells extract energy and are involved in chemical reactions allowing for the rapid development and out of control progression that is characteristic of the disease. Using advanced metabolic profiling techniques, Dr. Lee and his team found that EGCG disrupts the rate of turnover of molecules, known as “flux”, through a metabolic pathway in pancreatic cancer cells. They found that EGCG from green tea or supplementation reduced the risk of cancer by suppressing the activity of LDHA, effectively disrupting the metabolic function in cancer cells.

The scientists concluded “This is an entirely new way of looking at metabolism… it is no longer a case of glucose goes in and energy comes out. Now we understand how cancer cell metabolism can be disrupted, and we can examine how we can use this knowledge to try to alter the course of cancer or prevent cancer.” While this study examined the specific mechanism of the green tea compound EGCG and pancreatic cancer cells, an abundant body of research shows that many natural flavanols and catechins found in unrefined foods help to prevent a host of potentially fatal disease conditions.

The Complete History of Monsanto, The World’s Most Evil Corporation

Of all the mega-corps running amok, Monsanto has consistently outperformed its rivals, earning the crown as “most evil corporation on Earth!” Not content to simply rest upon its throne of death, atop a mountain of rotting corpses, it remains focused on newer, more scientifically innovative ways to harm the planet and its people.

As true champions of evil, they won’t stop until…well, until they’re stopped! But what is Monsanto and how did they get to be so obscenely evil in the first place? I think that’s the best place to start this journey, so grab a few non-GMO snacks or beverages and let’s go for a ride into the deep, murky sewers of their dark past.

1901: The company is founded by John Francis Queeny, a member of the Knights of Malta, a thirty year pharmaceutical veteran married to Olga Mendez Monsanto, for which Monsanto Chemical Works is named. The company’s first product is chemical saccharin, sold to Coca-Cola as an artificial sweetener.

Even then, the government knew saccharin was poisonous and sued to stop its manufacture but lost in court, thus opening the Monsanto Pandora’s Box to begin poisoning the world through the soft drink.

toxiclove1920s: Monsanto expands into industrial chemicals and drugs, becoming the world’s largest maker of  aspirin, acetylsalicyclic acid, (toxic of course). This is also the time when things began to go horribly wrong for the planet in a hurry with the introduction of  their polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

“PCBs were considered an industrial wonder chemical, an oil that wouldn’t burn, impervious to degradation and had almost limitless applications. Today PCBs are considered one of the gravest chemical threats on the planet. Widely used as lubricants, hydraulic fluids, cutting oils, waterproof coatings and liquid sealants, are potent carcinogens and have been implicated in reproductive, developmental and immune system disorders. The world’s center of PCB manufacturing was Monsanto’s plant on the outskirts of East St. Louis, Illinois, which has the highest rate of fetal death and immature births in the state.”(1)

Even though PCBs were eventually banned after fifty years for causing such devastation, it is still present in just about all animal and human blood and tissue cells across the globe. Documents introduced in court later showed Monsanto was fully aware of the deadly effects, but criminally hid them from the public to keep the PCB gravy-train going full speed!

1930s: Created its first hybrid seed corn and expands into detergents, soaps, industrial cleaning products, synthetic rubbers and plastics. Oh yes, all toxic of course!

1940s: They begin research on uranium to be used for the Manhattan Project’s first atomic bomb, which would later be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing hundreds of thousands of Japanese, Korean and US Military servicemen and poisoning millions more.

The company continues its unabated killing spree by creating pesticides for agriculture containing deadly dioxin, which poisons the food and water supplies. It was later discovered Monsanto failed to disclose that dioxin was used in a wide range of their products because doing so would force them to acknowledge that it had created an environmental Hell on Earth.

1950s: Closely aligned with The Walt Disney Company, Monsanto creates several attractions at Disney’s Tomorrowland, espousing the glories of chemicals and plastics. Their “House of the Future” is constructed entirely of toxic plastic that is not biodegradable as they had asserted. What, Monsanto lied? I’m shocked!

“After attracting a total of 20 million visitors from 1957 to 1967, Disney finally tore the house down, but discovered it would not go down without a fight. According to Monsanto Magazine, wrecking balls literally bounced off the glass-fiber, reinforced polyester material. Torches, jackhammers, chain saws and shovels did not work. Finally, choker cables were used to squeeze off parts of the house bit by bit to be trucked away.”(2)

A UCLA study funded by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke is the first to show how a diet steadily high in fructose slows the brain, hampering memory and learning — and how omega-3 fatty acids can counteract the disruption. The peer-reviewed Journal of Physiology published the findings back in May of 2012. [1]

“Our findings illustrate that what you eat affects how you think,” said Fernando Gomez-Pinilla, a professor of neurosurgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and a professor of integrative biology and physiology in the UCLA College of Letters and Science. “Eating a high-fructose diet over the long term alters your brain’s ability to learn and remember information. But adding omega-3 fatty acids to your meals can help minimize the damage.”

While earlier research has revealed how fructose harms the body through its role in diabetes, obesity and fatty liver, this study is the first to uncover how the sweetener influences the brain. Sources of fructose in the Western diet include cane sugar (sucrose) and high-fructose corn syrup, an inexpensive liquid sweetener. The syrup is widely added to processed foods, including soft drinks, condiments, applesauce and baby food. The average American consumes roughly 47 pounds of cane sugar and 35 pounds of high-fructose corn syrup per year, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. [2]

“We’re less concerned about naturally occurring fructose in fruits, which also contain important antioxidants,” explained Gomez-Pinilla, who is also a member of UCLA’s Brain Research Institute and Brain Injury Research Center. “We’re more concerned about the fructose in high-fructose corn syrup, which is added to manufactured food products as a sweetener and preservative.”

Gomez-Pinilla and study co-author Rahul Agrawal, a UCLA visiting postdoctoral fellow from India, studied two groups of rats that each consumed a fructose solution as drinking water for six weeks. The second group also received omega-3 fatty acids in the form of flaxseed oil and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which protects against damage to the synapses — the chemical connections between brain cells that enable memory and learning.

“DHA is essential for synaptic function — brain cells’ ability to transmit signals to one another,” Gomez-Pinilla said. “This is the mechanism that makes learning and memory possible. Our bodies can’t produce enough DHA, so it must be supplemented through our diet.”

The animals were fed standard rat chow and trained on a maze twice daily for five days before starting the experimental diet. The UCLA team tested how well the rats were able to navigate the maze, which contained numerous holes but only one exit. The scientists placed visual landmarks in the maze to help the rats learn and remember the way. Six weeks later, the researchers tested the rats’ ability to recall the route and escape the maze. “The second group of rats navigated the maze much faster than the rats that did not receive omega-3 fatty acids,” Gomez-Pinilla said. “The DHA-deprived animals were slower, and their brains showed a decline in synaptic activity. Their brain cells had trouble signalling each other, disrupting the rats’ ability to think clearly and recall the route they’d learned six weeks earlier.”

The DHA-deprived rats also developed signs of resistance to insulin, a hormone that controls blood sugar and regulates synaptic function in the brain. A closer look at the rats’ brain tissue suggested that insulin had lost much of its power to influence the brain cells.

“Because insulin can penetrate the blood–brain barrier, the hormone may signal neurons to trigger reactions that disrupt learning and cause memory loss,” Gomez-Pinilla said.

He suspects that fructose is the culprit behind the DHA-deficient rats’ brain dysfunction. Eating too much fructose could block insulin’s

ability to regulate how cells use and store sugar for the energy required for processing thoughts and emotions.

“Insulin is important in the body for controlling blood sugar, but it may play a different role in the brain, where insulin appears to disturb memory and learning,” he said. “Our study shows that a high-fructose diet harms the brain as well as the body. This is something new.”

Gomez-Pinilla, a native of Chile and an exercise enthusiast who practices what he preaches, advises people to keep fructose intake to a minimum and swap sugary desserts for fresh berries, which he keeps within arm’s reach in a small refrigerator in his office. An occasional bar of dark chocolate that hasn’t been processed with a lot of extra sweetener is fine too, he said.

Still planning to throw caution to the wind and indulge in a hot-fudge sundae? Then also eat foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, like salmon, walnuts and flaxseeds, or take a daily DHA capsule. Gomez-Pinilla recommends one gram of DHA per day.

8 Reasons Why You Need Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll, the phytochemical responsible for the deep, rich color of dark leafy greens, is the lifeblood of plants. This vitally important nutrient is necessary for photosynthesis to occur.

And while plants couldn’t survive without it, more and more evidence suggests that we humans should be consuming more of it. Here are eight reasons you why you should eat your leafy greens today.

Antioxidant powerhouse. Antioxidants are key fighters of oxidative damage. Over time, free radicals wreak havoc on the body and lead to a number of different degenerative diseases. Since we are exposed to millions of free radicals on a daily basis, the only way to combat them is to consume an antioxidant-rich diet.

 

Research has shown that chlorophyll protects against free radical damage at the cellular level, which in turn can protect the body from developing the degenerative effects of oxidative stress over time.

 

Blood booster. Chlorophyll closely resembles red blood cells. On a molecular level, red blood cells and chlorophyll are virtually identical except for one atom. Chlorophyll helps to replenish our red blood cell count by providing a continuous boost of energy to the bloodstream. When our red blood cell count is high, more oxygen can circulate throughout the body, which is key for the proper health and function of the bodily systems.

Hunger suppressant. A 2013 study found that meals containing chlorophyll-rich foods may suppress hunger. When 20 moderately overweight women were given test meals, they reported feeling less hungry after consuming the meals containing chlorophyll, as compared to the meals without chlorophyll. Their blood sugar levels were also reported to be more consistent after the chlorophyll-rich meals.

Cleansing capabilities. Our bodies are bombarded with toxins on a regular basis, which over time can lead to numerous diseases and conditions. Chlorophyll has the ability to bind with many of these toxins and dangerous metals and remove them from the body. When volunteers were exposed to the known carcinogen aflatoxin and then fed a meal, the volunteers whose meals included a supplement of chlorophyll exhibited a 95 percent elimination of the carcinogen in 24 hours.

Combats odors. Bad breath and body odor are an embarrassing part of human nature, and are often caused by internal issues rather than what you just had for lunch. Chlorophyll can combat embarrassing odors thanks to antibacterial capabilities that target the internal source of the problem.

Cancer prevention. While more research needs to be done before chlorophyll can be labeled as a cancer cure, a recent study found that men who consumed less dietary chlorophyll had a higher risk for developing colon cancer. And since many cancers are the product of toxin exposure and oxidative damage, the antioxidant capabilities of chlorophyll can protect against numerous types of cancer throughout the body.

Counteracts diet dilemmas. When you just can’t say no to those greasy fried foods, snacking on some chlorophyll-rich leafy greens may just help counteract your poor diet choices. Dietary spirulina reduces copper toxicity, improves blood and growth

Copper is a naturally occurring free metal. The body uses this metal for a variety of actions and regulates proper amounts. Too much copper taxes the kidneys and liver and can be detrimental. The right amount is essential. A certain blue-green algae called spirulina has been found to reduce copper toxicity and improve blood and growth in fish. This modulating action, as seen in this fish study, effectively eliminates excess copper obtained through overloaded water, soil and air. This study could translate to helping people with toxic amounts of copper in their body.

The right amount of copper is essential

Copper is an essential nutrient that must be regulated in the body. It plays an important role in hemoglobin formation, drug metabolism, catecholamine biosynthesis and carbohydrate metabolism. It’s also involved in cross-linking collagen, hair keratin and elastin. Some enzymes are copper-dependent and function to reduce activated oxygen species and molecular oxygen.

In the US, copper deficiency is rare. Copper toxicity, on the other hand, is a growing concern.

Too much copper is dangerous

People typically do not ingest more than the estimated daily intake of copper, which is between 1.0 and 1.3 mg per day, but under certain circumstances, the metal could build up in the body if the cells are not functioning properly. Acute exposure to the metal could strike in certain environments. If people are exposed to extra copper through inhalation, or from overloaded water or soil, toxicity may surface. Those who work in or near copper smelters may be inhaling excess amounts of copper, which overburdens the body. Copper can dust off from pipes into water. The EPA has identified unsafe levels of copper in soil samples from at least 906 of 1647 cleanup sites.

Copper, readily absorbed from one’s stomach and small intestine, can overload the gastrointestinal tract and cause abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. This is reported after a person drinks an overload of copper sulfate from beverages stored in copper containers or from water that sat in a copper pipe overnight.

Taxes the liver and kidneys

Lethal doses of copper sulfate can affect the liver and kidneys in drastic ways. Studies involving rats show that excessive copper exposure alters serum markers of liver damage, heightening necrosis and inflammation in their bodies. These lethal doses are equivalent to 100 times the daily recommended copper intake.

How spirulina regulates copper toxicity

A study was conducted in India at the P.G. and Research Department of Zoology of V.O. Chidambaram College, examining the effects that dietary spirulina have on reducing toxic amounts of copper in carp.

The researchers studied copper reduction based on food utilization of spirulina, phosphatases activities and selected haematological (blood) parameters.

The fish species in the study, C. mrigala, contained toxic amounts of copper concentrations in body tissue. The researchers set out to also study copper amounts in the fish’s fecal matter as spirulina was administered.

The researchers added spirulina to the fish’s diet, and they watched as 6% increases of dietary spirulina began showing positive results.

The fish, which were overloaded with the metal, began expelling it from their bodies through their waste. Copper measurements in fecal matter increased from the start.

Furthermore, large dietary amounts of the blue-green algae reduced haematological parameters, lowering chances of blood disease, and liver and kidney toxicity.

The most effective dose of spirulina was a 6% addition to the fish’s diet. This amount maximized the elimination of copper without completely depleting the body of it. It improved the fish’s growth, healthy blood levels and phosphatases activities.

How would you like to be able to work out longer and use less effort to get the same benefits?  Oh, and without resorting to Lance Armstrong’s strategies?  It’s possible, according to research finding that juicing beets can enhance the performance of elite athletes.

But even for those not planning to race in the Tour de France, researchers suggest that beet juice could also help the elderly or people with heart or lung-conditions enjoy more active lives.

In 2009 researchers at the University of Exeter found that beetroot juice enables people to exercise for up to 16% longer, leading athletes to experiment with its effects. A follow-up study suggested that drinking beetroot juice could help a much wider range of people.

The small study, published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, followed nine healthy young men doing low intensity exercise and found that they used less oxygen while walking, effectively reducing the effort it took to walk by 12%. The authors believe that for older people with cardiovascular issues who take in less oxygen, beetroot juice could help them do things that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to do.

The beetroot juice both widens blood vessels, reducing blood pressure and allowing more blood flow, and at the same time, it reduces the amount of oxygen needed by muscles during activity. The two effects combined have a significant impact on performing both low-intensity and high intensity physical tasks.

 

The study concluded that the high levels of nitrate in the beetroot juice are responsible for the effects. Nitrate in beet juice is converted by bacteria on the tongue into the chemical nitrite which eventually enters the blood stream, and lowers blood pressure. Consuming nitrate-rich vegetables, such as beets, spinach, lettuce and other leafy greens may contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system.

How can you get the benefits of beet juice in your own workout or just your everyday activities? You can always buy beets and juice them yourself.  However, if you are not up for that, you can find beet kvass at your local health food store.

During a visit to her home, ABC News reporters explored the back yard, every of inch of which is covered in plants and trees that grow the fruits and vegetables Mrs Larkins eats.

She told reporters: ‘My diet consists of fruits, nuts, vegetables and seeds. I do a lot of sprouting of seeds and as you can see from my garden and of course, these are the raw foods that I eat.’

The sprightly septuagenarian did not always eat this way. Husband of 54 years, Amos, owned a meat factory in the 1960’s and it was around this time that his wife decided to go vegetarian.

27 years ago she went one step further by turning vegan and now everything she eats is raw. Nothing cooked or processed every passes her lips.

5 Health Foods that are NOT Health Foods

Do you believe that diet soda is healthful? What about flavored water? For one reason or another, there are numerous foods that have gained the title of “healthy food” when they really aren’t. Many of these foods are still being sold as healthy options and well-intentioned consumers are continuing to eat it up. Sometimes these food aren’t the worst of the bunch, but they are still not healthful options.

Seeing through the multi-million dollar marketing ploys of food makers is difficult. After all, they spend stacks of cash and employ people who are the very best at what they do in order to convince you their product is worthwhile.

Here are just 5 food products you might believe are good for you due to clever marketing and misleading information.

diet_sodas_healthy1. Soy products including tofu, soy milk, and soy proteins – Non-organic soy products are most likely GMO. As a matter of fact, 90% of non-organic soy products sold in the U.S. are from genetically modified crops. While it’s marketed as a good source of plant-based protein, soy can have numerous unintended effects. Even organic soy has been shown to have endocrine disrupting effects, potentially leading to thyroid dysfunction, infertility, and even cancer. Admittedly, this is a controversial food in terms of healthfulness (when no GMO), so consume with cation.

2. “Healthy” cereals – Breakfast cereals with whole grains are marketed as a great way to start your day, but those whole grains are highly over-consumed by westerners, to the point where our body systems are inflamed and we become insulin resistant. Grains can cause the body to resist leptin, the hormone that predicts the onset of obesity, metabolic syndrome, and insulin resistance. Still, the “whole grains” labels are plastered all over grocery store shelves in an effort to convince you they are healthy.

3. Low-fat, low-sodium, or “lite” soups – Canned soups, no matter the label, are not a healthy option. Not only are they likely contaminated with the BPA lining the can, but they often contain flavor enhancers like MSG, known to cause migraines, obesity, and maybe even ADHD. They aren’t among some of the worst foods, but they certainly aren’t great either.

4. Agave – Agave has attracted many people because it’s natural, plant-based. But so is sugar. Like these sweeteners, agave isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. It contains about 55% fructose, is highly processed, and lacks nutritional value. Need a little sweetener? Try raw, organic, locally-sourced honey.

5. Diet soda – Is diet soda bad for you? You bet. While diet soda doesn’t contain loads and loads of sugar like typical cola, this ‘healthy’ drink has been tied to everything from kidney failure and cancer, to obesity and stroke. Stick to filtered water.

McDonalds Warns Employees Against Eating Their Own Food

According to McDonald’s McResource Line (MRL) website, employees are encouraged to say no to eating fast food.

This ironic admonishment of a corporation to its employees is reminiscent of how genetically modified organisms (GMO) are not served to Monsanto employees in their company cafeteria.

One post on the site reads: “Fast foods are quick, reasonably priced, and readily available alternatives to home cooking. While convenient and economical for a busy lifestyle, fast foods are typically high in calories, fat, saturated fat, sugar, and salt and may put people at risk for becoming overweight.”

The MRL states that fast food contains unhealthy amounts of calories, salt, fat and sugars that leads to medical conditions such as:

• Obesity
• Diabetes
• Heart disease
• High blood pressure

 

The copious amounts of mayonnaise, bacon, cheese and other processed additives are not conducive for a healthy lifestyle and employees are told to choose restaurants that offer sandwiches, soups and vegetables as viable options.

In the event that McDonalds employees find themselves eating at a fast food chain, they are advised to replace fries with a salad, choose hamburgers without cheese and sauces; asking for extra lettuce and tomatoes.

Ironically, McDonalds is pushing their meat products, such as the Big Mac and double cheeseburgers, because customers are not buying enough salads.

At an investor’s conference, Don Thompson, chief executive officer, explained that salads only make up 2% of their US sales.

Microwaves are dangerous and why we should not use them.

It’s a bit controversial, but you should know that using a microwave oven could be damaging your health. Swiss scientist Hans Hertel did independent research on microwave cooking that was once banned from publication by a court gag order demanded by an industry association. He was told to recant or be arrested. His findings were not favorable for microwave-oven users.

Hertel’s research corroborated early Soviet Russian research that led to a ban on microwave ovens, which was lifted after the “iron curtain” fell to increase microwave oven sales.

Both Hans Hertel’s research and the Soviet Russian research went beyond the commonly accepted dangers of microwaves leaking into the immediate environment and lowering nutritional value of microwave-cooked foods – two very real consequences of using a microwave oven.

How Using a Microwave Negatively Impacts Your Health

In short, microwave ovens are kitchen appliances which are used to cook or reheat food by emitting microwaves. Microwaves are a form of electromagnetic radiation and are on the low energy end of the energy spectrum, second to radio waves. The waves are generated by something called a magnetron – something found within every microwave oven.

Magnetrons produce an electromagnetic field with a microwave frequency of approximately 2,450 megaHertz (MGz), which is the equivalent to 2.4 gigaHertz (GHz). Microwaves produced within the microwave oven cause dialectric heating – they bounce around the inside of the oven and are absorbed by whatever is placed in the oven.

In order for something to heat in a microwave oven, water must be present within the substance. If water is not present, heating will not occur and it would remain cool. The reason for this is that water molecules within the food vibrate at an incredible speed, creating molecular friction which is responsible for the heating of the food. The structure of the water molecules are torn apart and vigorously deformed. This is much different than any other method of cooking, as other methods such as convection ovens heat up food by transferring heat conventionally from the outside inward.

Molecules are Agitated and Damaged

Hertel explains how heat is produced from the inside out in microwaves:

“Technically produced microwaves are based on the principle of alternating current. Atoms, molecules and cells hit by this hard electromagnetic radiation are forced to reverse polarity 1 to 100 billion times a second.”

Hertel is quick to point out that microwaves from the sun don’t cause the same type of molecular damage because the sun emits direct current (DC) pulses, where microwave ovens are generated by alternating current (AC) that causes the rapid polarity shifts in molecules to torque and tear them.

“There are no atoms, molecules or cells of any organic system able to withstand such a violent, destructive power for any extended period of time, not even in the low energy range of milliwatts.” Hertel continues, “This is how microwave cooking heat is generated – friction from this violence in water molecules. Structures of molecules are torn apart, molecules are forcefully deformed (called structural isomerism) and thus become impaired in quality.”

So it’s the water molecules in foods that are directly agitated first to produce frictional heat. Even worse, using a microwave oven for heating water for coffee or tea or for warming baby’s formula will create severely damaged molecules, which are carcinogenic. More on that later.

Gene Damage from Microwave Cooking

Besides these thermal modifications, there is direct damage to cell walls and genes from microwaves. Gene altering technology, which includes the biotech food industry, alters genes by weakening them with microwaves.

Hertel explained further, “… the cells are actually broken, thereby neutralizing the electrical potentials – the very life of the cells – between the outer and inner sides of the cell membranes.”

Strange and unknown compounds are created by microwave energy’s penetration into organic matter. They’ve been called radiolytic compounds. Some scientists argue that normal cooking creates these as well. However, Hertel’s research has indicated that far more radiolytic compounds are created by microwave cooking.

Hertel used human trials to demonstrate that the food and liquids damaged from microwaving modifies the cellular activity in humans consuming them. In addition to creating lower red blood cell counts and white blood cell (immune system “killer cells”) damage, one’s normal cells can be forced by the damaged molecules and radiolytic compounds to adapt into an emergency mode of energy production.

Cells are forced from normal cellular oxidation of glucose into the anaerobic energy production of glucose fermentation. This is a cancerous condition. Anaerobic glucose fermentation is how cancer cells survive and thrive.

It almost seems impossible to omit microwaves completely in today’s fast-paced world. But reducing the use of microwave ovens will help, and that’s something you can feel good about.

Little Known Chinese Herb & Iron Kill 98% of Cancer Cells in 16 Hours

 

 

 

 

 

According to studies that were published in an issue of Life Sciences, artemesinin – a derivative of the wormwood plant used in Chinese Medicine – can kill 98% of breast cancer cells in less than 16 hours. The herb used alone caused a 28% reduction in breast cancer cells, but when paired with iron, sweet wormwood was able to eradicate cancer almost entirely. What’s more, normal human breast cancer cells were not affected in the experiment by this treatment.

Artemisinin has been used in the past as a powerful anti-malarial herb, but it now has been proven to be a cancer-fighter, too. When subjects in the published study were given an iron supplement, which often accumulates in the breast tissue but especially so in cancerous cells, the artemisinin was able to selectively target ‘bad’ cells and leave ‘good’ cells alone.

Taken together, our results demonstrate that the artemisinin disruption of E2F1 transcription factor expression mediates the cell cycle arrest of human breast cancer cells and represents a critical transcriptional pathway by which artemisinin controls human reproductive cancer cell growth.”

Iron accumulates in cancerous cells due to special receptors that help them in cell division, called transferrin receptors. Normal cells likely have these receptors as well, but cancerous cells have them in greater abundance, and thus can be targeted by the iron-artemisinin combination, like a 1-2 punch.

There have been many experiments now that prove this sweet wormwood derivative can effectively eradicate disease in the presence of iron. The extract has been used for thousand of years in China to treat malaria. The malaria parasite cannot live in the presence of artemisinin because they are iron-rich, but the treatment works just as well for cancerous cells, too. Bioengineers Henry Lai and Narendra Singh of the University of Washington, Seattle were the scientists who initially made this discovery. This is yet another example of a natural herb causing cancerous cell apoptosis.

While the sweet wormwood extract has been somewhat difficult to obtain for a fair price for countless years, it is now on its way to being mass-produced by biotech. Will the result be positive and promising?
